Frequently asked questions

MasterPlan Ministries is committed to operating its business program under the authority of the local church and with the approval of the church’s senior pastor and leadership.

The program was created by business leaders and is most successful when it is overseen by a mature Christian businessperson. This person can be a former businessperson who now serves on the church staff or a non-staff church member, but he or she must have a strong business background and be willing to commit up to 20 hours per month to oversee the program.

We have a modified groups program through MasterPlan Business Leaders. If you refer business leaders to MPBL, your church member gets a 20% discount to the MasterPlan Business Leaders groups program. This is a way for you to provide value to your business leaders.

The MasterPlan Ministries business leaders program is not currently available for churches with a weekend attendance of less than 1,000.

Once a church has been approved, you will be assigned an implementation manager to guide you through the entire process.

The implementation process can take as little as three months, depending on how fast your church wants to implement the program. The implementation process culminates with the launch of groups, which is the main thrust of the program.

Yes! We offer a “Beta group” option that can begin almost immediately. This is a select group of your leaders who walk through the first four lessons as a trial run to determine if you want to do the complete program.

Candidates for the program are business owners and corporate leaders.

A business owner is defined as someone who owns a majority interest in the business they lead and is operating in that role full-time.

A corporate leader is defined as someone who is a CEO, president or C-level executive of a private or public corporation that has more than 100 employees or a vice president who oversees at least 50 employees.

Our program is not currently intended for:

  • Nonprofit leaders
  • First-time start-up companies less than a year old
  • Direct sales agents
  • Network marketers
  • Manufacturing sales representatives
  • Realtors or financial advisors working for franchise organizations

Each candidate goes through an application process to confirm their eligibility for the program at your church.

Yes. We provide online training for group facilitators so they can most effectively facilitate their groups. We also offer facilitator and member group lesson guides.

There is never a cost for a church member to become a member of a MasterPlan Ministries program at your church.

Each member of a group pays tuition to your church to be in a group. The tuition is charged for several reasons:

  • As every business leader knows, they apply more focus and energy whenever they have “skin in the game.”
  • We have seen group attendance improve when we started charging business leaders to be in a group.
  • Matthew 6:21 states: “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

We want the business leader’s heart to be in a place where he or she is committed to learning and applying biblical principles in his or her business, as well as building relationships with the other members of the group.

We allow churches to give scholarship assistance but do not allow full scholarships for the above reasons.

Group facilitators are typically not charged group tuition.

The group tuition goes directly to the Participating Church that is overseeing the groups, not MasterPlan Ministries.

There is a setup fee and a monthly cost. There may be additional costs for MasterPlan Ministries training, support, or speaking at your events, depending on the church’s needs. The monthly cost is reduced after the first year.
